Welkom bij de biodynamische tuinderij Amelis’Hof. Tuinderij Amelis\u2019Hof is een 18e eeuwse moestuin van circa 1 hectare groot waar sinds 1984 op biodynamische wijze groenten, fruit, kruiden en bloemen worden geteeld. De tuinderij is het bedrijf van tuinders Michel Smits en Mari\u00eblle Dings. Zij werken samen met Stichting Historische Moestuinen Landgoed Amelisweerd om deze historische moestuin in stand te houden.

Op de historische grond groeien zo\u2019n 60 verschillende groenten, 25 soorten kruiden, klein fruit en vele bloemen met de rijke smaak en geur van vroeger. Het zijn bekende producten, maar ook vergeten groenten als oerbiet en winterbroccoli en ouderwetse groenten als snijbiet (warmoes), spekbonen, zilversteel, pastinaak en aardpeer. De veelheid aan vormen en kleuren zijn een lust voor de zintuigen. Passanten, klanten en medewerkers genieten, ondanks de dagelijkse bedrijvigheid, van deze schoonheid en weldadige rust. Het is een plek om je te bezinnen; voeding voor lichaam en ziel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcome to the biodynamic Tuinderij Amelis’Hof. Tuinderij Amelis’Hof is an 18th century kitchen garden of about 1 hectare in size where vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers have been grown biodynamically since 1984. The kitchen garden is run by the growers Michel Smits and Mari\u00eblle Dings. They work together with the Stichting Historische Moestuinen Landgoed Amelisweerd (Foundation for Historical Kitchen Gardens on the Amelisweerd Estate) to maintain this historical garden farm.

Around 60 different vegetables, 25 kinds of herbs, small fruits and many flowers grow in this historic soil with the rich taste and aroma of history. They include familiar products, as well as forgotten vegetables such as primordial beet and winter broccoli and traditional vegetables such as chard, bacon beans, silverstalk, parsnips and Jerusalem artichokes. The multitude of shapes and colours are a delight to the senses. Passers-by, customers and employees enjoy this beauty and salutary peace, despite the daily workings on the land.
