De Domkerk is 7 dagen per week open. Veel mensen bezoeken de kerk en komen voor een rondleiding, een expositie of muziek, anderen voor een moment van rust. Bij de ontvangst begroet een gastheer of \u2013vrouw u. Hij \/ zij kan u wegwijs maken in het gebouw. U bent van harte welkom voor een kop koffie of een lunch in het DomCaf\u00e9. In de DomShop vindt u velerlei artikelen. De Domkerk is een Citykerk, gericht op de stad, met alles wat zich daar afspeelt en maakt deel uit van de Protestantse Kerk in Nederland

CareFull<\/strong>

In de Domkerk is een werkstuk van de beeldhouwer Gertruud Dentjens te zien. Dit werk past uitzonderlijk goed bij het gebouw. Het is namelijk gecre\u00eberd rond een oud stuk zandsteen, onderdeel van een kerkraam afkomstig uit de Domtoren. Aan de oude zgn. montant zijn nieuwe stenen toegevoegd van materialen uit deze tijd: aluminium, epoxy, hout, biobased beton, etc. Hiermee heeft Gertruud een nieuwe constructie zichtbaar gemaakt, die in de Domkerk in het licht mag komen staan.

Overig programma tijdens CareFull<\/strong>

350 jaar geleden, in 1672, maakt Nederland een \u2018rampjaar\u2019 mee. Een tentoonstelling in de Domkerk laat in de maanden september en oktober zien wat 1672 betekende voor Utrecht en voor de Domkerk in het bijzonder. Dagelijks is het DomCaf\u00e9 open en verkoopt de Domshop diverse cadeau-artikelen. Elke zaterdagmiddag is er een concert om 15.30 uur, altijd vrije toegang voor iedereen. Op zondag is er een mooie viering en ook door de week zijn er vieringen. De Domkerk maakt deel uit van het Grootste Museum van Nederland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Domkerk (Utrecht Cathedral) is open 7 days a week. Many people visit the cathedral and come for a tour, an exhibition or enjoy music, others for a moment of peace. CareFull<\/strong>

A work by the sculptor Gertruud Dentjens is on display in the Domkerk. This work blends with the building exceptionally well. In fact, it was created around an old piece of sandstone, part of a church window taken from the Dom Tower. New stones made of materials of our time have been added to the old mullions: aluminium, epoxy, wood, biobased concrete, etc. With this, Gertruud has created a new visible construction, which may come to stand in the spotlight in the Domkerk.

The Netherlands experienced a \u2018disaster year\u2019 350 years ago, in 1672. During the months of September and October, an exhibition in the Domkerk will show what 1672 meant for Utrecht and for the Domkerk in particular. The DomCaf\u00e9 is open daily and the DomShop sells various gift items. There is a concert every Saturday afternoon at 15:30, with free admission for all. A beautiful celebration is held on Sundays with celebrations during the week as well.
