Een thema waar regelmatig nog een zweem van schaamte en onwetendheid omheen hangt, ook al worden psychische klachten en mentale gevoeligheid tegenwoordig meer gedeeld dan dat de afgelopen decennia het geval was.<br><br>In de coronajaren was er een gigantische stijging van mentale klachten en gevoeligheid, ook onder jongeren. Breed onderzoekt dit voor hem persoonlijke thema en koppelt het aan de kunst en de kunstgeschiedenis. Met voorbeelden van &#8216;waanzin&#8217; van Hieronymus Bosch en Vincent van Gogh, die vervolgens ook buitengewone kunstwerken voortbrachten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De context van het onderzoek en de presentatie van <em>Ship of Fools II (Reflections on Madness) <\/em>is bij het Enik Recovery College, een \u2018herstelacademie\u2019, leeromgeving en ontmoetingsplek voor mensen met een mentale gevoeligheid. Vanuit deze bijzondere plek faciliteert Breed een werkgroep over de thematiek. De begeleiders zijn ervaringsdeskundigen. Ook produceert hij hier \u2018zines\u2019, gefotokopieerde magazines met een kleine editie, waarin hij zijn onderzoek publiceert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Mitchel Breed, Ship of Fools II (Reflections on Madness)&nbsp;2022 GPS-Project, met werkgroep, zines en een installatieve presentatie bij ENIK Recovery College<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"english\">English<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With his new GPS Project Ship of Fools II (Reflections on Madness), Mitchel Breed explores the theme of \u2018madness\u2019 from the context of Enik Recovery College. Enik Recovery College is a recovery academy, learning environment and meeting place for people with mental sensitivities. Breed facilitates a workgroup and produces new \u2018zines\u2019 from this place.
