Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd geeft ruimte aan individuele makers en organisaties om wisselende exposities en programma’s te verzorgen voor een divers publiek. Het biedt ruimte aan hedendaagse kunst, toont de rijke geschiedenis en geeft makers de gelegenheid om te creëren en zich te laten inspireren.
Van 2022 tot en met 2026 strijkt het Centraal Museum neer in Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd. Deze prachtige, historische buitenplaats vormt vijf jaar lang, elke lente en zomer, het decor voor een solotentoonstelling van een gerenommeerde Nederlandse hedendaagse kunstenaar. Op de eerste verdieping brengt het Centraal Museum presentaties waarbij de kracht van kunst leidend is. De tentoonstellingen zijn artist-driven, wat betekent dat elke kunstenaar een open podium krijgt om diens werk en wensen te presenteren in dialoog met de historische kamers. Zo wordt deze historische buitenplaats een actuele en experimentele vrijplaats.

ENG / The Oud Amelisweerd Manor House, with its Coach House and park, is one of the most remarkable national monuments in the Netherlands, particularly due to the presence of 18th-century Chinese wallpaper. Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd gives space to individual makers and organizations to host different exhibitions and programs for a broad audience. From 2022 through 2026, the Centraal Museum will be based at Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd. For five years, every spring and summer, this beautiful, historic country estate will serve as the backdrop for a solo exhibition by a renowned Dutch contemporary artist. On the first floor, the Centraal Museum presents exhibitions guided by the power of art. The exhibitions are artist-driven, meaning that every artist is given an open platform to present their work and aspirations in dialogue with the historic rooms. In this way, this historic country estate becomes a contemporary and experimental haven.
