EXboot / HKU Vers – Tom Haakman

EXboot presenteert in augustus een extra editie van HKU Vers: het meest in het oog springende werk van de HKU afstudeerders Product Design. Tom Haakman toont zijn observaties van de geleidelijke achteruitgang van religie en religieuze waarden in onze samenleving, door het gebruik van een crossover tussen klassieke symboliek en moderne technieken. Zo ontstaat er een zoektocht naar rituelen die ontstane gaten opvullen.

ENG In August EXboot will present an extra edition of HKU Vers: the most remarkable work of the HKU Product Design graduates. Tom Haakman shows a gentle observation of the gradual fall into obsolescence that religion and religious values is having in the west, by using a crossover of classical symbolism and modern techniques. Meanwhile a new quest arises to create new rituals that fill the space that’s left behind.
