Het universum trilt, wij zijn energie, en alles om ons heen is energie en in beweging. Fields of Vibration – Inner Vortex van kunstenaar Jan Koen Lomans (1978) is een installatie die de essentie van trillingen wil vastleggen.
Ons lichaam en onze omgeving zijn opgebouwd uit minuscule deeltjes in trilling. Onze realiteit is opgebouwd uit trilling, frequentie en golven: het is alomtegenwoordig. Dit holistische principe was de aanleiding voor de installatie.
Moderne klankschalen in een veld vol kleuren, bewegende golven, geluiden en trillingen. De installatie bestaat uit meerdere in aluminium gegoten klankschalen met ieder verschillende frequenties en kleuren, afgeleid van de chakra’s, de energiepunten in het menselijk lichaam. Je kan elke schaal aanraken en zo de trillingen voelen die door je heen gaan en resoneren in je lichaam.Lomans is een interdisciplinair kunstenaar met een fascinatie voor natuur, de kosmos, het bewustzijn, spirituele kennis, kwantumfysica en de manier waarop we natuurlijke verschijnselen ervaren. Hij realiseerde de installatie Fields of Vibration – Inner Vortex in samenwerking met studenten van TU Eindhoven, een licht- en een geluidsontwerper.

Caring for our nature requires solutions and help at multiple layers. Jan Koen Lomans wants to contribute to this by depicting a different image of our nature in his installations. He aims to take visitors on a journey through his mystical, philosophical and metaphysical approach to who we are and what we are connected to. In this manner, he seeks to question the relationship between humans and their environment at a deeper level.
Fields of Vibration (FoV) is an installation that seeks to capture the essence of vibration. Our body and environment are made up of tiny particles in vibration. The universe vibrates; it is one giant field of energy. Einstein said it best: ‘Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it’. Our reality is made up of vibration, frequency and waves: It is omnipresent.
This holistic premise guides FoV’s installation: a field full of colours, moving waves, sounds and vibrations, a resonating field where objects create vibrations in the form of modern sound bowls.
In times of serious global crisis: technological development, pollution of the earth, ecological disasters and capitalism gone mad, there is one bright spot: The new view of our reality (quantum physics) and the important role of our consciousness. Through the FoV installation, Lomans attempts to address this theme. And allow visitors to resonate with the vibrations in the installation.
