Galerie SANAA (‘kunst’ in het Swahili, ‘schittering’ in het Arabisch) exposeert hedendaagse kunst van (jonge) kunstenaars uit Afrika en Nederland. De kunstenaars zijn al gevestigd, of nog jong en talentvol. SANAA toont verschillende kunstdisciplines, tweedimensionaal en driedimensionaal, fotografie, video, tekeningen, installaties of combinaties daarvan. SANAA is op zoek naar gelaagde kunst – dynamisch, divers en hybride.
CareFull
Galerie SANAA doet mee aan de kunstmanifestatie CareFull omdat deze slinger door de stad verschillende beeldende kunst initiatieven met elkaar verbindt en voor iedereen toegankelijk is. ‘De wind komt altijd van elders’ een installatie in de etalage bij Galerie SANAA is een project van Balta en 24/7 te zien. Deze installatie gaat over culturele diversiteit, ontmoeting en anders naar de wereld en elkaar kijken. Het ‘praatje over het weer’ om contact te maken kennen we allemaal en is ook van alle culturen. Balta plaatst vele teksten op het raam en maakt zo een modern ‘conversation piece’.

Gallery SANAA (‘art’ in Swahili, ‘brilliance’ in Arabic) exhibits contemporary art by (young) artists from Africa and the Netherlands. The artists are sometimes already established, or still young and talented. SANAA showcases various art disciplines, two-dimensional and three-dimensional, photography, video, drawings, installations or combinations thereof. SANAA is looking for layered art – dynamic, diverse and hybrid.
CareFull
Gallery SANAA is participating in CareFull’s art festival because it is the garland through the city that connects different visual arts initiatives and is accessible to all. ‘De wind komt altijd van elders’ an installation to be viewed in the display window of Gallery SANAA is a project by Balta and on view 24/7. This installation is dedicated to cultural diversity, encountering others and looking at the world and each other differently. That ubiquitous small talk about the weather meant to make contact is something we all know, and is common to all cultures. Balta posts many different texts in the window, creating a modern ‘conversation piece’.
