Het gebruikelijk dat in een voormalige kopieershop te vinden is, is ver te zoeken. Het heeft de huidige organisatie jaren gekost om een oude kopieershop te vinden zodat kunstenaars daar hun werk kunnen tentoonstellen. Inmiddels is Projectspace Lokaal in de regio dé toonaangevende underground projectruimte voor de ambitieuze kunstenaar. Na een uiterst ingewikkeld ballotage proces kunnen slechts enkel de meest getalenteerde kunstenaars in Projectspace Lokaal hun werk laten zien.
CareFull – Because We Care
In de sculpturale installatie ‘Tracing the Body’ wordt de bezoeker uitgenodigd om het eigen lichaam te observeren, en vorm te geven aan wat daarin ligt opgeslagen. Zoals spanning en emoties die ontstaan door gebeurtenissen in de samenleving, of sporen van persoonlijke ervaringen die al lange tijd worden meegedragen. Door deze sporen te tekenen, ontstaat er gaandeweg een collectief archief van onze lichamelijke ervaringen.

Vanaf 19 september tm 3 oktober is Maurice Nuiten in de etalage van PSL te zien. Aansluitend van 3 oktober t/m 17 oktober, Ischa Kempka in de Grande Salle én Etalage.

The atmosphere customarily found in a former copy shop is nowhere to be found. It took the current organisation years to find an old copy shop so that artists could exhibit their work. Meanwhile, Projectspace Lokaal has become the leading underground project space in the region for ambitious artists. After an extremely complicated balloting process, only the most talented artists are permitted to exhibit their work in Projectspace Lokaal.
